How to join the WEEE Recycling Network?
A - Free membership
This provides free email support, a small amount of telephone helpline support and free newsletters from 1st July 2007.

Compliance Support Service
Let the WEEE Recycling Network help you comply. For a fee of ?149 the team at the WRN is able to offer a Compliance Support Service. This is not a compliance scheme, but a service whereby we act as your Compliance Department. We will: -
- Assign you a mentor, who will help extract the information you need to comply
- Contact compliance schemes on your behalf for quotations (this is only applicable for Producers)
- Provide you with a short report outlining your options.
- Assess your exiting WEEE systems and provide advice on how to improve these, or independent confirmation what this was the right decision for your company (if no system exists provide you with a benchmark to work towards)
- Provide advice on the best way forward, but the final decision will remain yours
- Take the strain of your staff, so you can concentrate on doing what you do best
- The service provide 3 months unlimited email support, by which time sufficient information should have been provided to ascertain if full membership is appropriate for your business.
Full Membership
- All of the above, plus unlimited support for 12 months.
- This is a bespoke service and each member will require different knowledge exchange. How you use this service is up to you. Examples of usage by existing members: brokerage of WEEE, political advice, WEEE audit training.
- Full membership was best described by one of its users as being a 'spare head' service, where knowledge could be downloaded as required and support given to make sense of it all.
- Full Membership is suitable for individuals and well as for companies. It has been designed for people who want to share and create knowledge.
- Access to full members closed forums, where members can talk with each other about their experiences, failures and successes. The forum is due to open on the 1st July 2007 and will be exclusive to full members. The WRN withholds the right to cancel membership to the forum to any company who abuses it. This is a professional forum and a place to create and share knowledge, it is not the place to exploit the knowledge of others and confidentiality will be expected.
All members who sign up for Compliance Support or Full Membership will also be given an active link to their business website, if that is desired.
